April 28, 2014 the Hudson Valley lost a solider in the Afganistan war. Growing up Shawn Farrell was a dedicated student and after seeing 9/11 he knew that he wanted to fight for the freedom of this country and throughout his senior year of high school he went through hours of bootcamp that way after high school he could. And he did.
Rondout Valley's History of Rock and Roll Class are honoring his memory by hosting a Memorial/Benefit Concert. We were wondering if you guys could advertise this concert on air so people around the Hudson Valley can come and see live music and help the memory of Sgt Shawn Farrell to continue on.
The concert will be held in the Rondout Valley High School Auditorium on May 10th from 6:00 pm-9:00pm. There will be live entertainment and food. Tickets are $5 and kids and Vets get in for Free.
All the money earned will go towards the Sgt. Shawn Farrell Scholarship fund to help graduating high school student carry out their dreams just like Shawn did.
