Dutchess County Pets Looking for Homes

Every week, I highlight some of the animals looking for their 'furever' homes at the Ulster County SPCA and now I am excited to announce that we are also working with the great folks at the Dutchess County SPCA.

Since 1871, the Dutchess County SPCA has strived to rescue, shelter, and secure permanent homes for adoptable companion animals; advocate for the highest standards of animal care; and enforce animal cruelty laws throughout Dutchess County. They recently completed a new and beautiful Adoption and Education Center.

Meet Bon Temps

Bon Temps is around one year old and those ears lead you to believe there may be some hound in his breed. Bon has been a favorite of the DCSPCA staff. He also loves playing with other dogs. You better hurry in if you're interested in adding this boy to your family,  we dont suspect he will be there long.

This is Bonnington.

Despite her masculine name, Bonnington is quite the lady. She is around 3 years old and is most times found sleeping on her comfy bed. She has lived with multiple cats and would prefer a quiet home that would allow her time to show you how wonderful she can be.

Meet Jumping Jackie.

Jumping Jackie is a sister to Bonnington and she would enjoy nothing more than a warm sunbeam on the back of a couch. She, like her sister, is slow to trust, but once she does, it's instant love. If you have a heart big enough for 2, you should consider these girls. They will certainly make any house a home.

Here's Yazoo.

The DCSPCA believes that Yazoo is around 10 months old. Handsome does not even begin to explain this boy's good looks and sweet disposition. If his rump and tail were a wiggle meter, it would go off the charts when he meets new people, big or small, he wants to kiss them all. Bring him home and you'll surely have a friend for a lifetime.

This is Ragina.

Around 2 years old, Ragina is not only beautiful, but a cuddler as well. While in the care of the DCSPCA, she has been coming out of her shell. If you talk to her, she begins to purr and will knead you or her bed, anything she can get her paws on. If you bring this beauty home, joy and happiness are sure to accompany her.
