Drake White is under doctors' care after collapsing onstage in Roanoke, Va.

According to People, White was about 15 minutes into his set at the amphitheater in Roanoke's Elmwood Park, part of a show with Scotty McCreery, when he stumbled onstage and was caught by one of his band members. Andrew Stone, White's tour manager, tells WDBJ, a local TV station, that the singer felt lightheaded, lost his energy and could not stand up.

"He's been going through medical procedures back in Nashville, and it's uncertain what the issue is right now," Stone explains, noting that White's collapse was "likely due to the heat." According to WDBJ's Leanna Scachetti, who was at he show, White was taken away from the scene, to a local hospital, on a stretcher.

Following the incident, a crew member came onstage to inform the crowd that White was alert, but did not elaborate as to the circumstances surrounding his collapse. Stone shared after the show that White was alert and responding to his surroundings.

“Hey friends -- sorry we had to cut it short tonight. I’m getting checked out by some of Roanoke’s finest docs and will keep you posted,” White tweeted a few hours later. “Thanks for your prayers and continued support. Love ya!”

White's next scheduled concert is set for Saturday (Aug. 17) in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., though it's unclear if he will postpone that show or any others. He's got numerous U.S. tour dates scheduled through late September, then will head to Australia for a few shows. More U.S. tour dates in October and November are also on his calendar.

White's debut album, Spark, dropped in 2016; his most recent new music, the Pieces EP, arrived in May of 2018. White has also toured with artists including Zac Brown Band and Luke Bryan.
