This weekend an annual charity event will tee off in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Every year over 300 people come out to the Poughkeepsie River District to take part in a charity putt-putt pub crawl.
The History of the Tony Cappillino Golf Tournament in Poughkeepsie, NY
For 26 years the Tony Cappillino Golf Tournament raises money for a great cause to help local families in the area. The money collected goes to local families who have someone in their circle battling cancer.
We spoke with Geri Del Vecchio, one of the organizers of the event, who tells us that 20 years ago the money raised from The Tony Cappillino Golf tournament helped her family after her mother lost her battle to cancer.
Tee Off This Weekend at the Tony Cappillino Tournament
On Sunday, February 18th folks will tee off in Poughkeepsie at 8 businesses.
Each year, guests sign up and head to several businesses in the Poughkeeise River District. The participating restaurants will have a putt-putt course inside their restaurants where guests can try their best to get a hole-in-one while enjoying adult beverages.

The Dutch Crown
Midnight Munchie Company
The Derby
Erin O'Neill's Pub and Grill
Shamrock Club
The Poughkeepsie Grind
The event will have a Shotgun start at 12 pm, all participating in the event get their first drink for free there's also a gift bag, food and an awards banquet at Mahoney's Irish Pub after the tournament.
