It's been a little over a week since Halloween.

Kids are still basking in all of their candy glory, as are some parents who sneak a few snacks from their kids Halloween buckets.

With Thanksgiving coming up so of you are looking to get rid of the Halloween sweets in hopes of saving those calories for the holidays. If you're looking for a way to get the candy out of your house and into good hands there's one organization that will send it to some pretty special recipients.

Operation Gratitude is a program that sends care packages to our military men and women over seas. They are asking for you and your family to send your left over Halloween candy to those in the military as part of the Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy Give-Back Program.

Operation Gratitude will also add floss, toothpaste, pens and mechanical pencils to the care packages.

Throughout the year Operation Gratitude collects different items and put out wish lists for donations.
