Did the Hudson Valley Have a Record Breaking Cold Thanksgiving?
I'm not speaking for everyone, but I think we can all agree that today was one of the rougher Monday's. After a cold, long holiday weekend no one wants to go back to work.
Lets think back to happier times, shall we?
To last Thursday, November 22nd. AKA, Thanksgiving. If you didn't leave your house, smart move. But for the rest of us that had to travel there was one thing we couldn't miss. And that's how cold it was outside.
Everyone was talking about how it was going to be the coldest Thanksgiving ever, and it lived up to the hype.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany Poughkeepsie saw a high of 27 degrees, a low of 10 and a mean temperature of 18.5.
Poughkeepsie didn't break the record for the record low, which was 9 degrees back on November 23rd 1989. However the Hudson Valley town did tie the record LoMax from 1989 at 27 degrees.
Reports have been back and forth whether or not this winter will be a snowy mess or not. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
