Did People Play Golf Yesterday In the Hudson Valley

Attention local golfers, I heard a rumor yesterday and it has to remain a rumor because I wasn't able to verify the information for myself. If I am going to state something as a fact I want to actually see it for myself so that I can be sure it really happened. In the past I have taken some information on the word of a friend, but this news I would need to see in person. Unfortunately, I got busy and wasn't able to secure what I saw on Facebook as fact. In this day an age you need to be sure before you go off saying things that might not be true.

So what is the rumor? I heard that the Hudson Valley golf season may have started yesterday at one of the courses I love to play. Last week when the weather was warm and the snow was melting Apple Green's Golf Course in New Paltz posted on Facebook that they would be opening soon. Then this past weekend they said that Wednesday March 8th would be the day. The first day to hit the links in 2017.

I was stuck at the station on Wednesday and didn't get to call or swing by the course to see if they actually had people out golfing. If I had and people were playing I would have been out on the "East" in a New York minute.Therefore, I will keep this news it in the rumor column but rest assured I will get to the bottom of this news and get you an update.
