There's a 100 percent chance of rain on Halloween for all of the Hudson Valley, according to the National Weather Service. Rain could be heavy at times with dangerous winds and freezing temperatures in parts of the region.

The National Weather Service has issued Wind Advisories or Freeze Warnings for parts of the Hudson Valley on Halloween, with hazardous weather forecast for the entire region. Below is the weather forecast for each county in the area, according to the National Weather Service

Dutchess County:

A strong frontal system will impact the area with a line of showers and possibly embedded thunderstorms tonight. There is a marginal risk of severe weather with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph Thursday afternoon into the evening.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Friday. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down causing power outages.

Ulster County:

Periods of heavy rain are possible through tonight which may result in localized flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. Area rivers are also expected to rise. There is also a chance for severe thunderstorms tonight with damaging winds the main threat.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. Friday. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down causing power outages. Winds are expected to be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected late this afternoon into tonight.

Orange County:

There 100 percent chance of rain in the area. A strong frontal system will impact the area with a line of showers and possibly thunderstorms later Halloween night. There is a chance of severe weather with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph.

Putnam, Rockland, Westchester Counties

A strong frontal system will impact the area with a line of showers and possibly embedded thunderstorms tonight. There is a marginal risk of severe weather with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph.

A Freeze Watch was issued Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to dip into the low 20s.

Hudson Valley Weather reports in addition to lots of rain, there will be gusty winds and a cold front hitting the region.

"Winds gusting 20-40 MPH through the evening and into the overnight will only add to nasty trick or treating conditions, Please secure your spooky decorations and be aware that winds can be dangerous for our little trick or treaters, please factor this into you plans and be safe," Hudson Valley Weather wrote on Facebook.
