The Town of Poughkeepsie Police are investigating a car versus bicycle crash that occurred Wednesday night and asking for the public's help. According to police, a 2002 Honda CR-V operated by a 46-year-old Poughkeepsie resident struck a bicycle operated by a 47-year-old male, also from Poughkeepsie.

The accident happened at approximately 8:08 pm Wednesday on New Hackensack Road (Route 376) near Cedar Valley Road. The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital while the driver of the car was uninjured. New Hackensack Road was closed for approximately three hours while police investigated the accident.
