It just makes Americas team that much better.

As you know I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, have been for over 30 years, and I just love when my team does something good for charity -- especially when the charity is one that all of us here at the Wolf absolutely love working with, with our CJ and Jess Wolf Flory's Holiday Express toy drive.

If you missed our big donation to the Salvation Army, check out our video from yesterday.

If you missed the Cowboys on Sunday night football this past weekend, they were at home playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They did win the game 26-20 to move to 12-2 this season.

Yes, a Cowboy win for me is always a good thing but what made Sunday night great was when Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot ran for a touchdown and after scoring, he ran and jumped in to an over-sized Salvation Army red kettle.

He was flagged for excessive celebration after the play, which usually carries a fine of $12,154, but according to WTEN, the NFL has said that Elliott would not be fined. Elliott, who had planned to match a fine with a donation, tweeted that he would still make a big donation to the Salvation Army.

So what affect did the kettle jump have on donations for the Salvation Army?

Lt. Col. Ron Busroe from the Salvation Army told WTEN that 12 1/2 hours of Elliott’s jump, until 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning, the Salvation Army took in $182,000 in online donations, which is a 61 percent increase.

Busroe went on to say that “We needed this boost, it’s certainly the most we’ve been talked about in the five years I’ve been here."
