If you're ready to hit the great outdoors, now is the time to do it.

Everything pretty much stopped when the coronavirus pandemic first happened back in March, BUT one thing that has gotten me beyond excited is the fact that things are starting to reopen. I think you can actually feel the excitement in the air that we're restarting things across the Hudson Valley and one place that I can't wait to head back to is Northern Dutchess Archery in Red Hook.

Joe the Pro Who Knows and the great staff at Northern Dutchess Archery have reopened the store after having to close due to the pandemic and that means we can all finally get everything we need to tackle the great outdoors here in the Hudson Valley.

Most of us know Joe and his team for everything archery and being that I've decided that I need to pick up a new hobby (archery), my next trip to see Joe is going to be a fun one as I'm ready to go all-in with archery and I know that Joe and his team have everything I'm going to need including compound bows from Hoyt, Mathews, Mission, Bowtech & Diamond. They have a great selection of crossbows from brands like Ten Point, Wicked Ridge, Excalibur and Mission.

And once I get myself geared up, I'm going to make a few appointments to practice in their indoor archery range, which is now open. The indoor range can only be used by appointment and is currently limited to 4 people at a time, so if you want to make an appointment you can call Joe the Pro at 845-758-3651.

I think once archery is handled I might give fishing a try next and I know Joe has me covered there too with rods, reels, bait, tackle and all the required fishing licenses I might need.

If you are planning to do like me and head in to see Joe at Northern Dutchess Archery there are some guidelines that need to be followed by their staff and us customers to ensure a safe shopping experience:

  • All customers must wear a mask & sanitize hands when entering the store.
  • Only 5 customers allowed in the store at a time.
  • Only customers making a purchase are allowed in the store.
  • Customers are limited to 15 minutes of shopping.
  • Customers purchasing a bow will need to make an appointment.

One last thing, if you're planning to go hunting before the end of this year, you should give Joe a call at 845-758-3651 to set up an appointment to get you equipment serviced and tuned up now and if you think you might need some supplies, get those orders in now so that you be sure you'll have what you need by time hunting season rolls around.
