I am a huge Chris Stapleton fan. I have lost count as to how many times I've listened to his debut album 'Traveller'. Even though I can't sing to save my life, that hasn't stopped me from singing along to every song on that album. I also follow Chris Stapleton on social media, and that's how it began.

About a week ago, while scrolling through Facebook, I saw a post from Chris Stapleton that contained only two words, one punctuation mark, and a link to a new artist and his debut album. The words were 'Buy this.' and the artist was Brent Cobb and his album 'Shine on Rainy Day'.

I've always prided myself on being able to take direction well, so I did. There's no turning back now, what a great album filled with songs about life, relationships, ups and downs, all the important stuff. His voice is real and honest, you believe him when he sings. Dare I say it, this is real music, something made not just to sell records, but to actually say something.

Brent, as it turns out, writes for a publishing house in Nashville and his songs have been recorded by the likes of Luke Bryan, Eli Young Band, David Nail, and more. Can I say how glad I am that he is not only behind the pen but behind the microphone as well. Take a listen for yourself.

I knew Chris Stapleton wouldn't let me down.
