Chris Janson was surprised with the 2019 ACM for Music Video of the Year in the most epic way — from host Reba McEntire herself! Janson's "Drunk Girl" video is well deserving of the title.

McEntire surprised Janson backstage at the 2019 ACM Awards after they hit the red carpet with the big news. "I just want to hug you right now," Janson told the legend, with McEntire remarking that she saw him perform the song at the Ryman and was blown away.

This was Janson's only nomination for this year's show and his first-ever ACM Awards win — he's been previously nominated in 2015, 2016, and 2018.

Janson is a father of four and was inspired by his children to write "Drunk Girl," a song he co-wrote with Tom Douglas and Scooter Carusoe. The music video tells the story of a young woman's journey through life. The girl was raised by her single mother going to a "Daddy Daughter Dance" with her mother. It then cuts to her mother being abused by her boyfriend. The video then flashes to her in college at a house party where she endures an assault. The video concludes with the woman in current-day, enjoying drinks and laughing with a young man at a bar. At the end of the night, her date hails her a card for a solo ride home.

After returning home, she glances at her phone to read a sweet text message from her suitor: "I had such a great time with you tonight. Let me know when you're home safe."
