We sure are feeling the holiday spirit here in the Hudson Valley this time of year.

Unfortunately, a bunch of our favorite holiday events, like Christmas tree lightings and parades, have been canceled due to COVID-19. One tradition that won't be canceled is the City of Poughkeepsie PBA yearly MRAP visits.

The Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle will be decked out for the holidays making the rounds around the City of Poughkeepsie, according to a Facebook post.

In the post The City of Poughkeepsie PBA said:

Not only does our armored rescue vehicle look cool, but we like to show it off as a way to be transparent. We hope we’ll never have to use it to respond to another critical incident, but if we do, we want our community to be familiar with it. This is also a great opportunity for folks to come and speak to our officers about why we have it, what it’s used for and how we got it, etc.

Santa and the MRAP will be at The Winter Wonderland Drive Thru, Santa’s Flyover, and The Candy Cane Express within the next few weeks.
