Celebrating Valentine’s Day at Christy Cottage
I love our little house. We call it the cottage for a reason. It's small and cozy, doesn't take long to heat up or cool down, and I love that we have a fireplace with a mantle. I always thought it would be so cool to have one because then I could decorate to my heart's content, and I do. Every month, I decorate our mantle either for a holiday, someone’s birthday, a special anniversary, or any occasion that needs celebrating.
February can sometimes be cold and dreary with lots of snow and the beginnings of cabin fever. Sound familiar? So during this month, it's all about hearts, teddy bears, pink, white, and red, and lots of love. Last month, you got to see my snowman collection and now it's all about teddy bears, and yes, I have a few.
So, I thought I would share what our home looks like in February. It's nothing fancy, but it holds a lot of memories and it's making new memories for my grandson and I as we decorate together. Plus, if you missed my Christmas mantle in December or my snowman mantle last month, there's links to both at the bottom of this post.
How do you decorate for Valentine's Day? What are your traditions for decorating your home throughout the year?
