Celebrate National Fudge Day in the Hudson Valley

This is a National day that I couldn't skip out on.

Today according to the internet is National Fudge Day. Anyone with a sweet tooth enjoys a delicious cube of fudge every now and again right? Today is the day to do it and do it big. Why not hit all the fudge selling spots in the Hudson Valley? I know from personal experience that there are several locations that serve the most perfect fudge square. Here are some of my favorites:

Alps Sweet Shop(Beacon/Fishkill) A few years ago I needed to get chocolate as a gift for a family member and Alps was recommended. I ended up buy fudge that day for my grandma and was everyone's favorite person until the fudge was gone.

Krause's Chocolate (New Paltz/Rhinebeck/Saugerties) I went on a Tinder date in New Paltz a few years ago and it was really bad. However, I suggested we check out Krause's and at that moment I realized cookie dough fudge is way better than any man.

Samuel's Sweet Shop (Rhinebeck) Before I knew about the star power behind Samuel's Sweet Shop I stopped there after a beer festival at the Dutchess County Fair Grounds. I made a slightly buzzed fudge purchase. Who knew fudge could sober you up that quickly?
