If you're looking to feed your family healthy and nutritious meals, without breaking the bank, farmers markets are always a great bet. This week, Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus has recognized National Farmers Market Week running through this  Saturday, August 8.

This is the 16th year that National Farmers Market week has helped draw attention to the vital role that farmers play in the agricultural and food economy. In Orange County alone there are 17 farmers markets which are open every day of the week except Monday. Click here for a full listing of markets.

According to the Orange County Government press release from the Office of the County Executive,  Steven Neuhaus states that

'Shopping at farmers’ markets is an important way to support our local agricultural industry. It also provides families with fresh, healthy produce and ensures a sustainable Orange County.'

Don't let the summer pass you by without getting great fruits and vegetables at your local farmers market.
