If you're a fan of the classic horror/comedy franchise, you may want to head down to New York City this weekend.

When and Where is Ghostbusters Day 2025?

Did you know every year on June 8th fans of the film Ghostbusters celebrate Ghostbusters Day? I had no idea it was a thing until today.

One would think Ghostbusters Day would be celebrated during spooky season in Halloween, however it's celebrated in June to mark the anniversary of the U.S. release date back in 1984.

The celebration is always held around the area of Hook and Ladder 8 Firehouse in New York City home of the iconic Ghostbusters headquarters, that is an actual working firehouse throughout the year.

Celebrate Ghostbusters Day 2025 on June 8th

The event, hosted by Buffalo Ghostbusters, will run from 12pm until 2pm at  14 N Moore Street in New York City.

There will be live performances and major announcements at the Main Stage, autograph signings from some of your favorite Ghostbusters celebrities, a NYC Ghostbusters Walking Tour, exclusive Ghostbusters Merchandise and more.

Many of the items sold at the event will bring in money to local charities supporting FDNY firefighter families.

This is a cash only event and will be held rain or shine. You can get some great information along with maps and schedules on the Ghostbusters News website. 

Have You Heard of the Hudson Valley Ghostbusters?

If you're looking for something a little closer to home, there is a group called the Hudson Valley Ghostbusters.

According to their website they are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to helping their local community and "having fun along the way. "

Looks like they even have their own Ghostbusters-like vehicles and uniforms. Now we need to know if the proton packs are real!?
