Catch The Witches Adapted From Dahl’s Book In New Paltz

Numerous news outlets reported that both the publisher and the Estate of Roald Dahl had decided to make these changes in Dahl's books in order to have them be more inclusive and less insensitive. As you can imagine this decision has not set well with everyone.

The Witches is Being Performed at Boughton Place in Highland, NY
I was happy to see that the week we are all talking about the Roald Dahl books a local Theatre Company would be doing a play adapted from one of his books. Turns out they have had it in the works for a while. I reach out to them about the language changes and at the time they hadn't heard about it.
90 Miles Theatre Company actually does a version that was adapted long before all of this rewrite action was taking place. Their adaptation is apparently from 1993 according to the front of the script.
The play The Witches is adapted by David Wood from Roald Dahl's book. It is licensed by Samuel French through Concord Theatricals. As far as the play is concerned it uses some text pulled from the book but is an adaption. (90 Miles Theatre Company vis Facebook Messanger)
