Cashews Recalled Due to Glass
If you shop at ALDI you may want to check your cabinets.
According to the FDA, the Star Snacks Company is recalling cashews due to the potential presence of glass pieces in the bag.
The nuts that are being recalled are the Southern Grove Cashew Halves and Pieces with Sea Salt with the UPC code 041498179366 and the best by date 11/27/18 & 11/28/18 (printed on the bottom of the can).
The nuts have been sold at ALDI stores in New York, so if you shop at any of the ALDI's in the Hudson Valley, make sure you check your packages.
The recall started after the company received consumer complaints of glass found in the packages of nuts.
As of now the Star Snacks company has said that there have not been any reported injuries due to the glass and that the products that could possibly have the glass in them have been removed from store shelves.
If you find that you have any of the recalled products you are urged not to consume and may return the product to their local ALDI store for a refund.
If you have any questions about the recall you can contact Star Snacks at 201-882-4593.
