Has anybody ever had this happen to them?

I'm not sure if this came up because of all of the virus talk going on these days but on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess show today we did a round of the game "Full of It". It's the game we play every Thursday where we both give you a statement about us, with one of us lying and the other telling you the truth.

My statement was that "as a kid I had the chickenpox 3 times" and after grabbing a winner,(congrats to Devon from Hopewell Jct) I admitted that I was lying. I think that you can only get the chickenpox once in your life, right?

I'm not sure where I heard that but I do remember that as a kid when I was like 13 or 14 I got them and gave them to both my brother and sister...sorry guys...I remember my mom saying that at least we all got them at the same time and would never have to deal with them again. She also introduced my to wearing socks on my hands with duct tape around the wrists so I wouldn't scratch...LOL!

To try and distract myself from all this Covid-19 stuff I went on an online mission to try and find out can you get them twice and found that according to Healthline, you can get chickenpox more than once if, you had your first case of chickenpox when you were less than 6 months old, your first case of chickenpox was extremely mild or you have a weakened immune system.

The website also said that the virus that makes up chickenpox does stay in our system for all of our lives and if it does flare up again as adult it most times is in the form called shingles, which from I've been told is extremely painful.

Have you or someone you know had the chickenpox more than once? Call or text us through the Wolf app.
