An Orange County campaign treasurer has been charged with stealing over $120,000 from three elected officials.

Carmen Dubaldi, 48, of New Windsor has been charged with three counts of 3rd-degree felony grand larceny.

After being appointed as a special prosecutor the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office conducted an investigation over the past several months. The investigation alleges that Carmen Dubaldi, 48, of New Windsor, embezzled campaign funds from New York State Sen. William Larkin, former Orange County Executive Edward Diana and Orange County Clerk Annie Rabbit.

The charges alleged that Dubaldi, while he was acting as the victim’s campaign treasurer, stole at least $3,000 from each victim. With the total sum of stolen money exceeding $120,000.

Dubaldi was charged with three counts of 3rd-degree felony grand larceny. He surrendered himself to the New York State Police in Monroe for processing and was arraigned in the Village of Goshen Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
