Apparently Boy Scout Troop 368, from Berkeley Heights, NJ were doing a little hiking at Harriman State Park a few weeks ago and that was a very lucky thing for NBC journalist, Ann Curry.

Ann had fallen and broken her ankle. Even though she told them to go on ahead, that she would be fine, the Boy Scouts fashioned a splint for her leg and then went and built a makeshift stretcher to carry her out of the park to where her family was waiting for her to take her to the hospital.

Here's a link to the story as it appeared in Scout magazine's blog.

Now that's always being prepared! Way to go Boy Scout Troop 368!!!
