Bowdoin Park a Popular Destination For Families in Dutchess County
If you've never been to Bowdoin Park, you're missing out on 301 picturesque acres. The Wappingers Falls, New York park overlooks the Hudson River and has something for everyone in the family.
Amazing trails, a nationally recognized cross-country course, sledding hills, a Maple Lodge, and pavilions to host your next party all can be found at Bowdoin Park.
Growing up in Dutchess County, one of my favorite parts of elementary school was the fall field trip to Bowdoin to learn about the nature and history of the area. As an adult, I enjoy hiking the trails and visiting every year for their annual Pancake Breakfast and 5K.

Summer Fun at Bowoin Park
Bowdoin Park is open year-round and has a variety of outdoor activities throughout the season. In the spring you can learn about Maple Sugaring, the fall is a perfect time to hit their hiking trails and in the winter Bowdoin is home to one of the most talked about sledding hills and ice rinks.
But summertime makes a splash! The Bowdoin Park Splash Pad opens every summer giving kids a fun way to cool off at one of their favorite parks. This year got off to a hot start with the June heatwave which brought tons of families to the park looking for some relief.
The splash pad is open daily at Bowdoin Park, weather permitting, for the rest of the season from 10 am -7 pm.
