Melissa Etheridge has won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, been nominated 13 times for a Grammy award-bringing home the award twice for Best Rock Vocal Performance Female, won ASCAP Songwriter of the year award, has toured all over the world, and today, I got to talk with her.

I was joined in the studio by one of Melissa’s biggest fans, Kristin, who works with all of the stations in our building. To say that we were both excited and a little nervous is an understatement, but we weren’t passing this opportunity up.

Melissa, along with her full band, will be performing for the very first time at UPAC in Kingston on Saturday, December 16 at 8 pm. So we wanted to know about the tour, the possibility of new music, and who she’s listening to these days. Plus, Kristin was able to ask Melissa about the inspiration behind one of her favorite songs.

There are a few tickets left, but don't wait too long, or you'll miss out on a great show with Melissa Etheridge at UPAC in Kingston on Saturday, December 16 at 8 pm. Remember, head to her website and sign-up to volunteer to help collect Toys for Tots before her show.
