Ben Affleck to Hilarie Burton: I Acted Inappropriately

Last week Hilarie Burton joined me and CJ to chat about her and her husbands, Jeffery Dean Morgan, upcoming charity event "Ghost Stories" in efforts to raise money for Astor Home Services for Children and Families in Rhinebeck.

We also got to talking about her time at MTV's Total Request Live.

Burton had nothing but positive things to say about her time at TRL calling it her "home base." Unfortunately it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies.

On Tuesday October 10, after allegations of sexual harassment came out against film producer and executive Harvey Weinstein, Ben Affleck spoke out against Weinstein's behavior.  

After Affleck denounced Weinstein's actions Twitter user Shanice Brim brought up an uncomfortable situation between Affleck and Hilarie Burton that took place during an interview on TRL. 

Burton then replied:

The statement from Burton is a powerful one by itself, however she added video from a TRL documentary where she recounts the incident. Hilarie was 19 years old at the time, while Affleck was 29.

Ben Affleck has since apologized for his actions tweeting out "I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize."
