One of the best ways to spend a summer day is having the sand between your toes, hearing the waves crash, and working on your tan at the beach.

As a professional "beacher", I take going to the beach very seriously. I pack my car the night before, I leave early in the morning and I pick out the best spot for tanning when I hit the sand.

One thing that drives me crazy is when people forget that it's not just them trying to have a good time. There is nothing that can ruin a beach day more than loud music while you're trying to relax or sand in places it shouldn't be.

According to Mental Floss, here are some tips to follow to make sure everyone has a good time. Some might seem like a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many people forget and commit these beach fouls. Happy Beachin!

  • 1

    Don't Have Your Music Loud

Hearing loud, blaring music in the background is one way to crush a beach vibe (unless it's any Luke Bryan song).

  • 2

Don't Shake Your Towel Near Others

Feeling like a sandstorm is coming at you never is fun. Pick a spot far away from others to shake out your towel.

  • 3

Fill In Any Holes You Dig

Walking on the beach is a relaxing way to end the perfect summer day. Having your foot go straight into a hole puts a cramp on a nice evening.

  • 4

    Don't Leave Food Out

This is coming from experience, seagulls get very  and personal when they see food.

  • 5

    Don't Throw Sand

    This one explains itself.
