Authentic BBQ Restaurant in Poughkeepsie Has Closed?

Many are wondering what's going on at one BBQ restaurant in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Back in the summer of 2023, we were excited to hear that a few Hudson Valley residents announced that they had come together to offer BBQ lovers a chance to try some of the best, most authentic BBQ foods available in the area.

Authentic BBQ Restaurant Opens in Poughkeepsie, New York

Cue & Brew, located at 35 Winslow Gate Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY opened to much fanfare in the summer of 2023. From the first day they opened many in the area raved about the authentic BBQ offered on its menu including mouth-watering options like ribs, brisket, smoked turkey breast, and pulled pork. They also offered great side dishes like fried Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, potato salad, collard greens, and more.

As word spread about Cue & Brew many BBQ lovers (us included) from all over the Hudson Valley raved about the food and atmosphere and in the beginning, things were great for the owners. Unfortunately, that began to change after a while and now it appears that they have closed after only being open for less than two years.

Cue & Brew in Poughkeepsie has Closed

We learned of their apparent closing after a few fans reached out to see if we knew what was going on at the restaurant located in the Hudson Heritage Plaza on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Soon after we reached out to the Cue & Brew owners to see if they could tell us what was going on. We were informed that they had closed.

One owner told us that they were forced to close after they said the developer never built all of the housing they previously promised. The housing would have provided a "sufficient market" for the restaurant to succeed and remain open according to the owner. It's unclear what will happen moving forward at the former Cue & Brew location, but when any future plans are announced we will update this article.
