Barton Orchards Hosts Apple Blossom Drive Thru Concert
Hudson Valley businesses are getting creative when it comes to social distancing events.
The apple trees at Barton Orchards in Poughquag are starting to bloom. Barton will be hosting an Apple Blossom event, however, with everything going on with the Coronavirus they had to find a way to show off their beautiful orchard while making sure their customers follow social distancing rules.
So they came up with the Apple Blossom Drive-Thru Concert on Sunday, May 3rd from 12 pm to 6 pm. Customers can watch the apple trees bloom from the safety of their car while listening to live and local bands throughout the apple blossom trail.
The drive-thru concert lineup is as follows:
12:00pm - 6:00pm : Angelo Santilli
12:00pm - 3:00pm : Dirt Road Pickers
12:00pm - 3:00pm : Smokin' Steve Wells
12:00pm - 3:00pm : Chris Raabe
3:00pm - 6:00pm : The Mighty Flynn
3:00pm - 6:00pm : O Solo Vito
3:00pm - 6:00pm : The Differents (Trish & Joe)
Admission to the Apple Blossom Drive-Thru Concert is free and customers are allowed to drive through the trail more than once. The Barton Farmers Market will also be open for curbside pickup and delivery.
Peter Barton said in a statement:
"One of the most beautiful sites at the orchard is when the apple trees are in bloom. For a short period of time, the property is peppered with an array of delicate white flowers which will later become this season's apple crop. We want our customers to enjoy this wonderful scene as well. With social distancing in mind, we will have pathway roped off where residence can observe and take pictures of the flowers from their vehicles.
