At this point during quarantine, we're looking for any excuse to get outside. Why not make it a pretty excuse?

As of right now, Barton Orchard in Poughquag is still going on with its second annual Sunflower Festival.

In a Facebook post, the popular Hudson Valley orchard asked that you save the following dates: August 8th and 9th/ August 15th and 16th. In a statement, Barton Orchard said "Our five-acre Sunflower field has been planted, and is starting to grow! Enjoy a day of sunflowers, music, food and the beauty of the farm!"

They also mention that only a limited amount of tickets will be on sale, however, they have not released the date yet for the ticket release.

With all of that being said, Barton Orchard has a bunch of safe, socially distant activities for the Hudson Valley to enjoy in the meantime.

The Barton Orchard Arial Adventure Park is open and ready for you to explore above the treetops.

Plus, Barton is open daily for business Sunday through Wednesday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 11 AM to 8 PM. This includes their concession stand, dog park, Farm Market, petting zoo and they recently opened their Tap Room.

Barton Orchards is best known for its variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to pick from. You can get your fresh veggies now while preparing to revisit this fall for apple and pumpkin season.

Don't forget you can enjoy Barton's delicious ice cream creation like their Apple Cider Donut Sundae and their new S' more Sundae.
