Andy Brownell is a lifelong Rochester resident and host of Rochester Today on News-Talk 1340 KROC-AM and 96.9 FM. The lively one hour program runs from 5 until 6 PM on weekdays. Every Tuesday and Thursday conservative commentator and author Tom Ostrom joins Andy to talk about the events and issues of the day. The rest of the week, you can expect regular appearances by members of the Rochester City Council, the Rochester Mayor, the Olmsted County Sheriff, the Superintendent of the Rochester Public Schools, and the General Manager of Rochester Public Utilities. Rochester Today also features a list of local experts that include Mike Dougherty from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Experience Rochester President Joe Ward, Steve Lange from Rochester Magazine, and the Med-City Movie Guy Chris Miksanek. When he is not hosting Rochester Today, Andy wears his objective journalist hat and provides comprehensive news coverage for the community as a member of the KROC News team for the past four decades.
