An arrest has been made in the murder of Justin Speights.

In the past weeks, several arrests have been made in the Speith murder investigation. Both cases we're focused around tampering of evidence by deleting digital information. According to the Times Herald Record, a 20-year old SUNY Delhi student, Jauntae Brown was charged Thursday night with a murder and weapon charge.

Speights was attending a New Years party at 55 Paddock Drive in Crawford when a fight broke out. In an effort to break up the fight Speights jumped in, but was then allegedly stabbed by Brown several times in the abdomen area. He later died of his injuries at Orange Regional Medical Center.

The New York State Police have released a statement advising that there has been an arrest made. There will also be a press conference today (Friday, December 9th) at 10:45 a.m. at Troop F headquarters at 55 Crystal Run Road in Middletown.
