We got talking today about finding buried treasure in Hudson Valley backyards and had so many folks tell us about some of the things they discovered while digging in their yards. That got me thinking about how most of us a one time or another have come across certain things that we struggle to tell if its real or not, right? I've found a few pieces of jewelry around the Hudson Valley over the years, that after finding them, I had a hard time telling if they were real or not.

Is there a way to tell if something is real or not by doing a quick test on them? Well yes, for a few things there are quick things you can try out to see if they are real. There are also certain things to look for when it comes to identifying if they are real or not.

Using March 2019 data from the Social Security Administration, Stacker compiled a list of the most popular names in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C., according to their 2018 SSA rankings. The top five boy names and top five girl names are listed for each state, as well as the number of babies born in 2018 with that name. Historically common names like Michael only made the top five in three states, while the less common name Harper ranks in the top five for 22 states.
