I'm not sure if it's just me or not?

Over the last few weeks, like most, I've noticed a lot of different things. We have things reopening in Hudson Valley, we have some businesses closing their doors for good (BOO) and one of the things I look forward to every year is when I start to see those white tents go up all along route 9 that are selling fireworks. Those tents to me are a big sign that summer is here.

I've seen them all across the Hudson Valley and if you haven't noticed they are now selling fireworks in most grocery and drug stores too which might explain why all of a sudden every night at my apartment it sounds like the Macy's fireworks display that they do on the 4th of July in New York city.

Now I don't want to come off as a stick in the mud BUT,(you knew there was a BUT coming), I think I've just about had enough of the blasting off every single night in Poughkeepsie. I've counted the nights and every night for the last 9 days someone is setting them off at all hours of the day and night.

I'm fine with a little "boom boom" at night but I do think there has to be an unwritten rule when it comes to firework etiquette...right? If you have fireworks and you want to set them off, you should do it before 10:30-11 P.M. Why? Because some of us have to get up at an ungodly time in the morning and every time you blast off, I jump up outta bed, thinking the world is ending and I'm not sure my heart can take any more of this.

Yes I'm being dramatic but I do think its fair of me to ask, right? Am I alone here?

Is there anyone else that's had enough of the fireworks across the Hudson Valley? Does where you live have the same problem as I do in Poughkeepsie? Call or text us where your hearing an obscene amount of fireworks recently and maybe we can help in getting them to stop...LOL!
