When I was little I had lots of heroes. My Dad was probably my biggest hero but after all I was a daddy's girl so that is kind of a given. I had other heroes too, I looked up to a lot of people from many walks of life when I was a kid.

I always wanted to be just like Princess Anne, she was always pictured riding horses when I was growing up and she was a Princess. I also wanted to be just like my 5th grade teacher, Miss Monahan. She was pretty, taught the class how to play guitar, (that was cool in 19 never mind) and she married her high school sweetheart who graduated from West Point. We all got to go to the "church" part of the wedding. And yes she looked like a princess in her dress. (I might have had a princess thing going on as a child.)

Throughout my life I have considerd lots of people to be heroes. Everyone from the famous Garth Brooks to the neighbor who helped me get the big giant black snake out of my garden shed. Webster's defines a "Hero" as a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities.

I want to know about your heroes. Frontier Communications has team up with all of us here at The Wolf and we want to know about someone you think is a local hero. Nominate someone you know, that you admire, so we can hopefully name your hero the Wolf Local Hero for June.
