ACL Hall of Fame Ceremony and Festival Performers Announced
The lineup for the 2016 Austin City Limits Hall of Fame Inductions & Celebration ceremony has been announced, featuring some of country music's biggest names.
The event is set for Oct. 12, just after the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which concludes on Oct. 9. Willie Nelson, Mavis Staples, Rodney Crowell, Gary Clark Jr. and Taj Mahal will be on hand to pay tribute to 2016 ACL Hall of Fame Inductees B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt and Kris Kristofferson.
2016 marks the third year of the Hall of Fame, which was established to honor musicians who have impacted the 40+ year history of the ACL series. Previous inductees include Nelson, Guy Clark, Loretta Lynn and others.
Tickets to the event, hosted by Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, go on sale May 20 at ACLTV.com. Highlights from the evening will be broadcast during a special episode of ACL's 42nd season, which premiers on PBS later this year.
The ACL Music Festival is set for Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and Oct. 7-9. Festival performers include Nelson, Chris Stapleton, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Anderson East, Asleep at the Wheel and more.
