3 Injured Following Large Fight at Hudson Valley Youth Center
Three people were injured after a large fight broke out among youths in the Hudson Valley.

On Wednesday around 1:30 p.m., New York State Police and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Brookwood Secure Center for Youth on Spook Rock Road in the town of Claverack for a report of a large fight.
Members of law enforcement quickly gained control of the situation and the facility was secured, police say.
The youth served at Brookwood are juvenile offenders and adolescent offenders who, while under the age of 16, committed certain violent felonies and were convicted and sentenced in court as part of Raise the Age legislation, officials say.
Three staff members suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment. None of the residents were injured, according to New York State Police.
More details about the fight aren't known at this time. Police say their investigation remains ongoing and will be updated as soon as additional information becomes available.
Hudson Police Department, New York State Park Police, Chatham Police Department, New York State Environmental Conservation Police, Greenport Police Department, Claverack Fire Department and the Columbia County Emergency Medical Services, Columbia County Fire Coordinator Office, and multiple EMS agencies assisted at the scene
