While June 21 is the first day of summer on the calendar, summer really begins when the summer concert series in Monroe starts. Concerts are held Saturday nights from 7-8:30, with the rain date being the following day.

The concerts are held at Lake Street between the Millponds at Crane Park in Monroe. Admission is free and this year features a wide variety of musical styles for the whole family to enjoy. June 27: The Crown Officials, the Music of Rod Stewart
July 11:  Amaranthus Ensemble, Classical String Quartet
July 25: Irene Walsh, an Evening of Samba
August 8: Hy Hitmen, Classic Rock Favorites
August 22: Oxford Station, Country Rock
