20 Plus HV Restaurants Donate Chili for Saturday Event
This time of year who can say "No" to a bowl of chili. The spicy flavors with just the right mixture of meat, veggies and sauces all together in place served on top of rice, Chips, Bread or my personal favorite a big old bake potato. It is the perfect meal on these cold late winter days.
This Saturday (Feb 23) you can enjoy chili and hand crafted pottery at the 22nd Annual Chili Bowl Fiesta in Stone Ridge. Organized by the Women's Studio Workshop this event is open to all. Their are handmade bowl you can buy which are perfect for chili. There is live music to add to the fiesta. And of course their is plenty of chili that has been donate to the event by more than 20 different Hudson Valley restaurants and chefs.
Come enjoy a great local Band "In The Kitchen" and purchase your self a one of a kind chili bowl made by a local artisan. Nearly 1000 bowls, tumblers and vessels are made throughout the year for this event and because they are one of a kind they range in price from $10 to $100.
The Chili Fiesta is being held at Ulster County Community College at 491 Cottekill Road in Stone Ridge. Early bird admission from 2pm to 4pm is just $10. From 4pm to 7pm Admission is free with live music, plus there is live music throughout the day. Please note that if you intend to use a credit or debit card there is a $15 minimum.
