2 Killed After Plane Crashes Into Hudson Valley Home, 1 Missing

A plane crashed into a Hudson Valley home killing two people and leaving a person and a number of pets missing. Help is needed to find the missing.

A Cessna 303 aircraft crashed into a home on South Smith Road in Union Vale in Dutchess County on Saturday around 4:30 p.m.

Three people were flying in the plane when it crashed into the home. Three people and three pets were inside the home at the time of the crash.

One person from the plane was killed while the other two were injured. One person inside the house died and another is currently unaccounted for, police say. Their names haven't been released.

Three pets inside the home are now missing, according to the Town of Union Valley New York Facebook page. Below are pictures of the missing dogs. If you have any information on the pets please call the Town of Union Vale Town Clerk at 845-724-5600 or 845-705-0653.

CBS reported two dogs were rescued from inside the burning home, but later ran from the scene.

The small plane departed from Orange County Airport and stopped for fuel at Sky Acres in LaGrangeville. It was heading from Sky Acres to Farmingdale in Long Island when it crashed into the home in Dutchess County, NBC reports.

The house was quickly engulfed in flames and officials say was destroyed.

"I saw the house completely engulfed in flames," neighbor Rick Plambeck told ABC News. "There was a woman in the house and she jumped out of the window onto a ladder with her dog and she told us that there was a man in the house, which was her father. But we didn't know or see him at all. The plane was in the back of the house, on the back porch."

The FAA and NTSB are still investigating the cause of the crash.
