Give me a mantle and I will show you a bunch of different ways to decorate for holidays, special events, birthdays, or any other reason your heart desires. Even in the midst of the second Nor’easter in a week,  I am all about decorating.

I love to decorate our little home, known as our cottage, but my favorite space is the mantle. In fact, I am pretty sure that it was the mantle that made me fall in love with our house in the first place. Every month, I decorate it either with holiday décor such as pumpkins, Santas, etc;  colors like all red, white, and blue for July 4th; and mementos for special birthdays, fresh-cut flowers in all sizes and shapes of vases to celebrate summer, and other tricks I have up my sleeve.

This month, we have two holidays and that means two mantles. The first is all about St. Patrick’s Day and while many of my mantles have a lot of things on them, this one is different. Green is certainly the color to use, but my china cupboard was where I went for my decorating items this month. I collect ivy dishware and I stumbled across a set of the coolest glassware ever a few years ago at a thrift store and those make the mantle this month as well.

Do you decorate your home for St. Patrick’s Day? If you do, I’d love to see pictures. I love learning new decorating tips and tricks. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you missed any of my previous mantles, you can see all of them below. I know it starts with this month's mantle, but once you get past that they are all there.
