The Monday after DST begins is the longest Monday in the history of Mondays. So, to help get us through, here's some news about some of your favorite country artists, today's Nashville Notes.

 

Congratulations to Brad Paisley, he received a CMA International Award for Global Country Artist. According to Country Aircheck, "Advancing Country Music around the world is at the very foundation of CMA's mission," says CMA CEO Sarah Trahern. "Being able to acknowledge the exhaustive efforts of our international and domestic colleagues outside of U.S. borders is very rewarding and central to growing the business and developing new territories for Country Music."

 

Trace Adkins will guest star on an episode of NBC-TV's The Night Shift in early May. Adkins, a Wounded Warrior Project spokesman, will play the leader of TC’s (Eoin Macken) MMA veteran therapy group. On the show, TC is ex-military, and his character this season has been dealing with his PTSD and trying to move past his issues to be in a relationship with Jordan (Jill Flint).
