Here's this week's Music FYI and some of country music's legends are showing us all how it's done.

 

Dolly Parton has apparently signed a has signed a development deal with NBC-TV to produce programs that take inspiration from her songs. The plan is to make “uplifting” movies that capture her optimistic outlook. Her she is on the Wendy Williams Show and her smile and laugh are contagious!

 

Congratulations to Glen Campbell, his song "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from the documentary "Glen Campbell ... I'll Be Me" has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. Other nominees include "Everything Is Awesome" from The Lego Movie, "Glory" from Selma, "Grateful" from Beyond the Lights, and "Lost Stars" from Begin Again. Our fingers are crossed for Glen, we'll find out who wins on February 22 on ABC.

 

Vince Gill has teamed up with Frontier Communications and Dish Network, and CoBank for the America’s Best Communities competition that dedicates more than $10 million in cash and other rewards to support innovative community projects.
