Red White and Blue Food for the Fourth

Are you ready for your holiday celebrations? Do you have enough Red White and Blue food? Thanks to food coloring and creative chefs it is possible to have lots of goodies with the July Fourth theme this weekend. You can also just add festive Red, White and Blue party items to the table and suddenly those burgers take on a holiday theme. Sparklers in the baked goods are always fun for the kids in all of us.

So when you are shopping this weekend make a game out of finding food that is already the colors of the American Flag. Blue maybe difficult once you have grabbed the blueberries. White is a broader category there are marshmallows, rice, onions, brie cheese just to name a few of my favorites. And when it comes to red colored food where do we draw the line. Tomatoes, watermelon, apples, beets, steaks, lobster all great for your BBQ this weekend. Eat and Enjoy!
