If you have a favorite country song, or two, that you haven’t heard in a while, chances are that Rowdy Yates has it, and a few others you may have forgotten about, and will play them for you weekends on The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday nights from 7 to midnight and Sunday mornings from 6-11.

This week Rowdy will be shining the Country Gold spotlight on one of the artists instrumental in beginning what would be known as the Outlaw movement in country music, Waylon Jennings.

He started out as a DJ and then formed his first band, the rest, as they say, is history. This one went to #1 in 1975 off of his first album to be certified gold, 'Dreamin My Dreams.

This one became a hit 3 short years later.

Believe it or not, after all of his iconic songs, duets with Willie, number one hits, and platinum albums, this song was the biggest of his career.

No matter which of his songs is your favorite, you're bound to hear it this weekend. It's going to be a fun show so don't miss it. The Original Country Gold with Rowdy Yates, Saturday night from 7 to midnight and Sunday morning from 6-11 on 94.3/97.3 The Wolf.
