New Artist Watch

I'm always on the look out for new Country artists to listen to. Whether it be on social media apps or just scrolling through Youtube, I always end up finding one or two acts that have some staying power. Usually I'll listen to a cover first, then try and find some of their original material.

Just yesterday I was on Vine, which for those of you who don't know is an app where you can upload a 6 second video. What can you get done in 6 seconds, you might ask? Well you can post a six second cover and grab some attention. Taylor Ray Holbrook snatch my attention right up! He covers everyone in country music, from Kenny Chesney, Sam Hunt and Florida Georgia Line:

Apparently he was on American Idol and didn't make it past Hollywood week, but I think this kid might be on to something.

Another Country act that I've been hearing a lot of lately is Old Dominion. Thank you Youtube! Probably one of my favorite finds so far. They have a single out right now called "Break Up With Him" that is gaining some traction and I'm hoping it catches on soon, because these guys are good.
