Gas Explosion at Wallkill Home

Luckily, no one was hurt early this morning after an explosion at a Wallkill home.

According to the Orange and Rockland County Fire Facebook page there was "Major Incident" that the Circleville Fire Department was called to. It was reported at the time that there was a building collapse with possible entrapment at 10 Meadow Lakes Road.

Jeff Stedner from the Orange and Rockland County Facebook page reached out and told us that at 6:30AM a gas explosion occurred at the residence at Meadow Lakes Rd.

The Circleville Fire Department was called to the scene and found a full structural collapse with two occupants trapped. The two who were trapped were located quickly by the Orange and Sullivan County Technical Collapse team.

Both people were transported to a nearby to by hospital for evaluation.
