Update: Fire at Wright’s Farm in Ulster County

New information has been released after a fire was reported at Wright's Farm in Gardiner, NY.

On Tuesday, we learned that at approximately 8 p.m., numerous fire departments in Ulster County were dispatched to a reported fire at Wright's Farm on Route 208 in Gardiner, NY.

At the time, it was reported that the fire, which residents in Ulster County said could be seen for miles, threatened many of the buildings at the popular family farm along Route 208.

Multiple fire departments rushed to the scene, including Gardiner, Modena, Plattekill, New Paltz, Wallkill, and more, to battle the blaze.

Thankfully, the fire was contained to a barn on the farm property, according to a recent post on the Wright's Farm Facebook page.

Unfortunately, the fire, which started in a pole barn on the property, destroyed various farm equipment, including tractors, apple bins, firewood, and much more.

The good news is that everyone at the farm is OK, but the barn was a total loss.

Wright's Farm thanked all of the first responders for their efforts in fighting the fire, saying,

"We want to start off by expressing our sheer gratitude for all the local firefighters and department members."

 

They explained that due to their quick actions, they were able to contain the fire to a single building and prevent it from spreading anywhere else.

The farm stand, the Gardiner Brewing Company brewery, and numerous homes on the family farm are all fully intact.

The family ended their post thanking family, friends, and community members who have reached out and invited anyone feeling the need to help in some way to simply come and support their businesses.
