Those affected by Winter Storm Jonas will be happy to hear that the next winter storm should miss most of the Northeast.

Accuweather reports that while the next storm will track towards the east by Friday, the brunt of the snow will fall offshore.

Meteorologists do say, however, that a weaker storm may spread lighter amounts of snow across parts of the region.

Parts of western Pennsylvania and in parts of western and northern New York state could see a few inches of snow by Friday into Saturday.

Temperatures across the Hudson Valley should stay in the mid to upper 30s.
