From time to time I will drag out pictures from the "Paty Quyn" family album. This is one I look at often. It is a picture of my dad calling in an air strike in Vietnam. The tall gentleman was his radio guy. My Dad was a proud West Point Grad - Class of 61. Not a really tall guy but a great soldier. Yes, I am very proud.

Fun fact about me and my Dad - He is the reason I never sky dived. I wanted to in college but when I called to tell him I was doing it he decided it was a good time to share one of his "jumping out of a plane stories", needless to say he changed my mind. Lesson - there is just no guarantee where you will land. The cool fact about this photo is that when it was published my family hadn't heard from my Dad in a few weeks and when it appeared in the New York Times they realized he was still alive. Letters to home took a while back then.

Happy Veterans Day and Thank you to all who have served this great United States.
